The euro area industrial new orders index increased by 2.3% in May 2006 compared to April 2006. The index decreased by 0.8% in April3 and 1.3% in March. EU25 new orders rose by 1.5% in May 2006, after remaining stable in April3 and falling by 1.1% in March.
