Seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 1.6% in the euro area2 in May 2006 compared to April. roduction fell by 0.7% in April3 and rose by 0.8% in March. Output in the EU25 gained 1.2% in May, after a ecrease of 0.2% in April and an increase of 0.6% in March.
In May 2006 compared to May 2005, industrial production rose by 4.9% in the euro area and by 4.7% in the EU25.
