Eurostat: Industrial producer prices up by 0.3% in euro area

The euro area industrial producer price index2 rose by 0.3% in May 2006 compared with the previous month, and EU25 prices increased by 0.1%. In April3 prices gained 0.8% in the euro area and 0.5% in the EU25.

In May 2006 compared to May 2005, industrial producer prices rose by 6.0% in the euro area and by 6.9% in the EU25.
